Kidlit for Los Angeles

Hello lovelies,

2025 has been a lot already (I need a hibernation cave big enough for everyone! please know the dragons and I all love you!) so I am just swooping by to let you know about Kidlit for Los Angeles, an auction to raise money for wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.

Kidlit for Los Angeles poster that says "Auction raising funds for Los Angeles wildfire relief: Win signed books, original art, school visits, critiques, and AMAs from award-winning authors and illustrators, agents, and editors!"

The proceeds will go to:

California Community Foundation – Wildfire Relief Fund

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation

Animal Wellness Foundation Fire Relief Fund

And there are two Wings of Fire items you can bid on:

(1) a complete signed set of the Wings of Fire series including all the novels, graphic novels, and activity books

or (2) a 30-minute virtual visit with me for your class or book club

There are lots of other really cool things to bid on, too — including a query critique and AMA or a portfolio critique and AMA with my wonderful agent, Steve Malk! He represents so many amazing authors and illustrators and is always lovely to talk to; this would be an awesome opportunity for any writers and artists out there! (Just promise not to ask him whether I’m his MOST melodramatic author!) 😉 Plus signed books, art, critiques, school visits, and more from a whole bunch of my favorite people!

The auction runs until Sunday, January 26, at 9pm PST, so get your bids in before then — and thank you so much to Caroline Perry, Charlotte Offsay, Tara Luebbe, and Jocelyn Rish for all their hard work organizing this!

All right, this face is summoning me back to the writing/blanket fort/hibernation cave:

I disapprove of leaving the snugglefest for any reason

But I’m sending hugs to all of you, and I’ll be back soon, hopefully with FanWing Fest updates! 😊
