The Baby Votes We Have Thanksgiving Every Day :-)
This Thanksgiving, I am tremendously thankful for people who like to hang out with my baby while I nap…
(Here he is learning to play mahjong.) (Of course.)
I’d be so good at this game if I could only…reach…the tiles…
You guys don’t mind if I take this one, do you?
Ha ha! I win! All the tiles are MINE! That is how this works, right?
The baby, meanwhile, is thankful for sweet potatoes, apples, turkey, gravy, stuffing, squash, maple-roasted Brussels sprouts, blueberries, bananas, cantaloupe, oatmeal, yogurt, cranberry sauce, yogurt with cranberry sauce, cheese, cauliflower, applesauce, peaches, blackberries, hummus, and zucchini bread.
Alllllll of this is for MEEEEEEEE?
He had a classic Thanksgiving: ate three times his body weight and then slept for seven hours in the middle of the day. WHAT. Yup, we’re pretty sure Thanksgiving is his new favorite holiday. It sure beats Halloween (holiday of everyone looking very strange)…at least until he learns what candy is. 😉
And we are both thankful for extremely patient little dogs:
I love him SOO MUCH I just have to…
(Note: not Sunshine! She would never put up with this!)
And speaking of dogs, in case any of you haven’t seen this yet: Dogs Don’t Understand Basic Concepts Like Moving – totally hilarious. 🙂
I hope you all had a wonderful wonderful Thanksgiving! How are your NaNoWriMo novels going? I want to know who picked the month of November for this…how is anyone supposed to get writing done at all during Thanksgiving? And what about the time we need to spend buying Hanukkah and Christmas presents? And shouldn’t we have chosen a 31-day month, just to help ourselves out? How about March? Nothing at all is happening in March; that seems like a fine time to try and write a novel in a month. Hrmph.
Er, so, yes, I’m not sure I’m going to finish this book of mine by the end of the month…but there’s still three more days! Of course, here I am blogging instead of writing. Bad bad bad!
Off to work, then…but p.s., I am also thankful for all of YOU for reading my nonsense and putting up with all the baby photos! I assume those will stop eventually. Like when he’s twelve and decides I’m way embarrassing, whatevs. ;-) But thanks so much for coming around the blog, and especially for sticking around when the posts (like this one) are late and goofy (la la la)…
Coming next week: My favorite books of the year! Yay! 🙂
