Thrilling Baby Travels!

Guess who got to ride in an airplane for the first time?  🙂

Airports are SO COOL!

Yes, we braved the friendly skies and took the baby all the way to California last month…craziness!  I was totally petrified about how he’d be on the plane, but (luckily for us and everyone in earshot!) he was a total angel.

How could you doubt this face?

It was very splendiferous — we got to have lots of wonderful family time with grandparents and great-grandma and great-aunt and great-uncle (all of them fantastically great!) and Jonah thought it was all marvelous.

Just chillin’ with my sunglasses and pacifier and teething banana…

Plus we had some very thrilling and dramatic SITTING!  All by himself!  For the first time!

What?  Of course I can do this!  I’m good at stuff!

Seriously, no worries, Dad-Dad-Dad!

And despite the jet lag and the time difference, we even had a little of this…:

Awwww snoozy.

I hope you guys all had a terrific July 31 – whether celebrating Harry Potter’s birthday, Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, or National Dance Day (!!!), which, incidentally, is a pretty clear sign to me that the universe understands my love for So You Think You Can Dance, since they decided to put it on my birthday and all (birthday! hooray!).  🙂

Although I have to admit this season hasn’t been the same since Alex got injured (sad sad SAD!), so I haven’t had as much to say about it.  But I did want to post this photo after the number where Jose looked so ridiculous in overalls, because you know who looks much much cuter in overalls than Jose?

This guy!

Awwwww.  Seriously, overalls should be left to the experts, people.  😉

OK, I have real book things to talk about next time, but for now I’m going to leave you with two hilarious 19th-century-literature-themed videos (although by now everyone’s probably seen them before!):

and the funniest thing ever:

Hee!  Go Bronte sisters!  🙂

Happy August, everyone!  More soon!

So where are we going next?  I’m ready!
